Life at Your Doorstep!

The Urban Tour is one of the most anticipated events of the year welcoming thousands to enjoy some of Kansas City’s hippest and most chic properties.   This event was the talk of the town using the new Kansas City Power and Light District as the hub for buses. Evolving eons from where it came, this year’s event featured 26 properties; some that are almost to capacity.

 

The event began on Friday evening with an exclusive VIP Tour that allowed exclusive paying guests to be chauffeured to 4 of Downtown’s most lush urban properties.  At 9am Saturday morning buses began shuttling hundreds of potential buyers and site seers. This year emphasis was placed on the individual neighborhoods and the ease of urban living. 

 

The Urban Tour is an event that The Downtown Council of Kansas City began as a self guided bus tour of Kansas City’s renovated urban properties. It gave a first hand look at inexpensive practical urban living space that offered a big city pedestrian commute to those who office downtown or had a particular appreciation for loft living. In later years, it offered a glimpse into the future growth and downtown life that was soon to come. This event helped make it common knowledge that Kansas City’s Downtown was again on its way to being the cultural center of the metropolitan area. Soon the event adopted the appropriate slogan, “Urban Tour: Life at Your Doorstep.”
