Tuileries: A Dickens of a Celebration!

November 2008 -

The Tuileries Plaza, an upscale shopping center in North Kansas City, kicked off the holiday season with a celebration benefitting Harvesters ala Charles Dickens. November 8th, The Tuileries stepped back in time to the era of “A Christmas Carol” and “David Copperfield”, a camp fire for roasted marshmallows while guests awaited their personal carriage rides.
The first really cold day of November brought out beautiful lights and the holiday spirit. Dickens carolers welcomed guests to an evening of entertainment, discount shopping and giving. A chimney sweep on a unicycle whirled through shoppers, a colossal Belgian horse clipped and clopped a sleigh throughout the shops and restaurants and the chiming of hand bells from “Rezound” could be heard all evening. It was a wonderful welcoming of the holiday season that raised hundreds of cans for Harvesters.
